Volunteer Opportunities

Help Build a Strong School Community

When students see adult volunteers in their schools, they see firsthand how members of their community value education and support their local school. When a community is involved in their school, more people have a better sense of their child's education and appreciate how many people are dedicated to improving their child's educational experience. More involvement results in better understanding, more trust-building, and a commitment to even more support. School begins to feel like family!

With benefits like those, it's easy to see why people get involved in the Acme PTA. With this help, we are able to offer more than
20 events and programs each year to our kids and families that would otherwise not be possible.

If you work full time, part time, night shift or swing shift; have little ones or other commitments that make it difficult to volunteer at school; or if you already plan to volunteer in the classroom, we have volunteer opportunities that could both meet your needs and help us build a better, stronger community. Whether you have one hour or 40 hours to give... at school or from home, you are valuable!

Anyone can volunteer at PTA events and attend PTA meetings! You do not have to be a member to be involved and have a voice in what we do but you do need to be a member to vote on many important issues including our mission, goals, objectives and our budget. To become a member visit our membership page.

Corporations contribute for your volunteer time!

Did you know that many employers will match your time, too? Many local employers like Boeing, Microsoft, BP, Starbucks and many more will contribute to Acme PTA if you document and submit your volunteer hours to your employer. What a great way to give back to our school AND have your employer support your child’s school, further building our strong school community! To find out if your employer offers contributions in exchange for your volunteer hours contact your HR department at work.
